Event Registration Care Specialist

Job Summary

The Event Registration Care Specialist will serve as a member of the Data Management Team and will assist in various duties as assigned by the Data Management Coordinator. The Event Registration Care Specialist will work closely in lifting the arms of the Data Management Coordinator and assisting in the day-to-day responsibilities of James River Church Event Registrations.

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-5); Evenings and Weekends as needed for JRC Events

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

 
  • Answering phone calls and assisting individuals with event registration questions
  • Manages multiple email groups and responds in a timely and professional manner.
  • Processing online contact form submissions and online event registrations
  • Enters registrants into database and processes reports for departments to ensure accuracy.
  • Process online registrations.
  • Coordinates with accounting the collection, processing, and deposit of registrant payments
  • Insures accurate transfer of information between registration, payment, and database software.
  • Assist in sending weekly registrations numbers to event and conference department leaders.
  • Process cancellations/transfers for events, camps, and conferences.
  • Accept and process scholarship forms for events, camps, and conferences.
  • Organize registration packets for events and conferences as requested.
  • Work closely with departments to coordinate registration needs, such as childcare, and communicate that information to the appropriate department.
  • Stay current on all software updates and training in regard to the Brushfire event registration solution.
  • Be accurate and precise in all data entry
  • Report weekly to Data Management Coordinator
  • Provide overlap expertise and support with pulling reports/lists as needed from the ChMS.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned by the Data Management Coordinator

Job Requirements

 
  • Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing, telephone techniques, and office equipment; as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to get along well with others and handle confidential matters.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, orally and in writing.
  • PC skills including spreadsheet, database query and word processing.
  • Must be punctual, pleasant, and tactful with professional appearance and conduct.
  • Exhibit professionalism and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to interact positively with and provide service to others at all levels within JRC.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, civic organizations, business professionals, and the general public.
  • Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 
  • Experience in customer service and/or sales.
  • Knowledge of FellowshipOne church software would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of Brushfire registration software would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of Excel software is preferred.
