Believing Begins With Faith
Hebrews 11:1 NLT
1Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
Romans 10:10 NLT
10For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
7We walk by faith not by sight. (With a consistent and confident belief in God's promises).
1. Faith is the foundation for a believing life
Romans 1:17 AMP
17"For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [awakening more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, "THE JUST and UPRIGHT SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
Hebrews 11:6 AMP
6"But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him."
2. Faith is a product of what you have chosen to listen to
Romans 10:14-15 NLT
14But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
3. Faith is meant to grow stronger
Ephesians 1:15 NLT
15Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere,
Romans 15:1-2 MSG
1-2Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”
Romans 10:17 NLT
17So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
4. Faith is what reveals Jesus to a lost world
5. Your faith makes the impossible possible
